At Edward Worlledge Primary School we are keen mathematicians and spend an hour and a half daily developing our skills.
An hour and a half?! YES!
During this time pupils’ develop their mental calculation skills using fun games to reinforce key strategies. Then, the main part of the daily maths session incorporates challenging and engaging tasks promoting independent and determined learners whilst delivering the 2014 New Curriculum.
Our school is part of a local cluster encompassing other schools in the area and we work hard collaboratively to improve practice and arrange enjoyable activities.
We run parent work shop s to inform parents of calculation methods used in the school and arrange maths days for parents to come learn alongside their children.
